Watch first-person Ultra Street Fighter II Nintendo Switch Hadouken Mode gameplay

Capcom has shown first-person gameplay footage from the upcoming Nintendo Switch game, Ultra Street Fighter II.

The preview was shown during an episode of Capcom TV, shared via YouTube (starts at the 2 hour, 56 minute mark). The gameplay was described as “Hadouken Mode” and shows the player using the Nintendo Switch’s motion controls to perform Ryu’s hadouken, shoryuken, and tatsumaki in first-person.

The mode is timed and enemies respawn in waves. Overall, the mode appears to play more like a fun, score-chasing minigame as opposed to a serious take on first-person Street Fighter.

Ultra Street Fighter II is an updated version of 1994’s Super Street Fighter II Turbo. The game will be released for the Nintendo Switch in 2017, although no specific release date has been confirmed. The game will include new modes and mechanics, as well as a few gameplay tweaks.
