Update 11:45AM PST: An earlier version of this story embedded the Blizzard ANZ Tweet, which had the event dated for April 12. Because Australia is a day ahead, the date has been updated to reflect the North American update release date of April 11.

The original story follows below.

Blizzard has posted a teaser video pointing to an upcoming reveal for its popular multiplayer shooter Overwatch.

The video is titled “Overwatch Mission Archives” and makes reference to the King’s Row Uprising, an event which took place seven years ago in the Overwatch lore. There are four other obscured images, one of which looks like a possible new skin for the character Tracer.

The text itself could be hinting at the introduction of Missions, similar in format to other Blizzard games such as Hearthstone and Heroes of the Storm. These Missions set tasks for players to complete to earn in-game currency. In Overwatch, Credits (or Coins) are currently only obtainable via Loot Boxes, or by selling items received from opening Loot Boxes.

King’s Row itself is an Assault map which leads into an Escort map. The attacking team must capture the point to escort an EMP device into a part of the city inhabited by omnics. Situated in London, the map contains some references to the conflict between humans and omnics. Graffiti scrawled on walls, such as “Machines have no rights” and “No more omnics,” hint at the history of the location.

The location also served as the setting for Widowmaker’s cinematic short, Alive.

Last week Blizzard announced the return of the Overwatch World Cup. The finals will take place at BlizzCon 2017 in the Anaheim Convention Center on November 3-4. Tickets for BlizzCon 2017 go on sale next month.
