New Street Fighter V DLC character to be revealed at Lupe Fiasco album launch party
Capcom has announced that it will be revealing the newest Street Fighter 5 Season 2 DLC character at an upcoming event to celebrate the launch of hip hop artist Lupe Fiasco’s newest album, Drogas Light.
As detailed on the official Capcom website, the event will be hosted at the Folsom Street Foundry in San Francisco on February 15. Capcom will be revealing the newest Season 2 character for the first time at the event. We don’t know much about the characters, other than that Capcom has described them as “completely new characters” and that there will be five more of them released throughout Season 2–Akuma was the first.
Entry is free, and there will be exhibition matches, a cosplay contest, and an eight-person Street Fighter V tournament. Capcom Cup 2016 finalists Du “NuckleDu” Dang and Ricki Ortiz will be going head-to-head an in exhibition rematch.
The event’s special guests list includes Lupe Fiasco, Murs, Dan the Automator, DJ Qbert, Del the Funkee Homosapien, and Domino of Hieroglyphics.
The Folsom Street Foundry served as the venue in which Lupe Fiasco famously beat Daigo “The Beast” Umehara in a Street Fighter V exhibition match.
