The original story follows below.

It appears the next Street Fighter V Season 2 DLC character will be Balrog’s mercenary partner Ed.

According to the Season 2 Character Pass product page on the PlayStation Store, Ed joins Akuma, Kolin, and three yet to be revealed characters for Street Fighter V Season 2.

It makes sense Ed is a playable character in Street Fighter V since he appears in Street Fighter V’s various endings and Cinematic Story Mode with Balrog. He made his first appearance with cameos in Rose’s Street Fighter IV ending and Balrog’s Super Street Fighter IV ending as “Bandage Boy.”

It is not clear what Ed’s fighting abilities are, but according to Urien’s Story Mode ending, he appears to have inherited some of M. Bison’s powers thanks to being a potential clone for the dictator.

Yahoo Esports has reached out to Capcom for comment.

Akuma and Kolin were the first two characters released for Street Fighter V Season 2. The remaining four characters have not officially been revealed by Capcom. One of those characters could be Byron Taylor, who was prominently featured in the game’s story modes.

In related news, Capcom delayed the upcoming CFN and balance patches, but did announce another CFN beta test that would feature all playable characters, including the newest upcoming DLC character.
