CS: GO team Astralis confirmed for IEM Sydney

ESL Australia has announced that Astralis’ CS:GO team has been invited to attend Intel Extreme Masters Sydney. The team will join SK Gaming and Renegades onstage at the Qudos Bank Arena.

IEM Sydney will mark the first time the IEM series has been hosted in Australia. The event is scheduled to run May 6-7 at the Qudos Bank Arena in Sydney. The event will feature top Counter-Strike: Global Offensive teams from around the world competing in a tournament with a prize pool of AUD$260,000 (~$197,000).

Pre-sale tickets are now available to Telstra customers and ESL CS:GO Fan Club members; general public access to ticket sales will start on Monday, March 13 at 10AM AEDT via Ticketek.

Astralis has had a string of successful tournament placements lately, most recently taking first place at IEM Katowice 2017. Prior to that, the team won both the ELeague Major and the Esports Championship Series Season 2.
