Overwatch World Cup 2017 Competition Committees decided, live events coming to Sydney, Katowice, Shanghai, and Los Angeles

Blizzard has announced the Competition Committees for its Overwatch World Cup 2017, and revealed more details for the World Cup’s live events.

The Overwatch World Cup 2017 Competition Committee for the United States will be represented by Steven “Ster” Serge, Kyle “KyKy” Souder, and Jason Kaplan. The Committee for Canada will be represented by Liam “Mangachu” Campbell, Chris “Huk” Loranger, and Pokelawls.

Blizzard has also revealed the locations for four of its live events where the group stages will be played out this summer (or winter, if you’re in the southern hemisphere). Each group is made up of four nations who will play each other in a round-robin format to determine who the top two teams are. The top two will then advance to the single-elimination playoffs at the Overwatch World Cup finals at BlizzCon 2017.

The Group Stages will be hosted in the following locations:

  • Shanghai, China – Group A and B

  • Sydney, Australia – Group C and D

  • Katowice, Poland – Group E and F

  • Burbank, California – Group G and H
