The Overwatch World Cup 2017 teams have been confirmed

The 32 teams attending the 2017 Overwatch World Cup have been locked in.
Ranked by the average skill rating of the top 100 competitive players from each country, the top countries will be moving on to the team selection phase. There, average players from their respective regions will vote on a panel of experts to then choose the rosters of the teams. The panel of experts will include coaches, analysts, and others people involved with competitive Overwatch.

Fifteen of the teams that made the 2016 BlizzCon stage will be returning for the group stages, with Chile being the only country that missed the cut. Reigning BlizzCon champions South Korea took second place on this year’s list, with China edging them out for the top spot.
The group stages of the Overwatch World Cup will begin this summer, with the top 16 teams heading to BlizzCon on November 3 and 4.
In other Overwatch news, Blizzard will be releasing three new maps this year, Lunatic-Hai has had some serious roster issues, and the teams for APEX Season 3 have been locked in and will be starting this Friday, April 28. For more, head over to the Yahoo Esports Overwatch hub.
